SVC – January 15 meeting

Susquehanna Valley Conservatives to host Congressman Tom Marino

Susquehanna Valley Conservatives is pleased to announce that they will be hosting Congressman Tom Marino (PA-10) on January 15, 2018.  The meeting will be from 7pm to 8:30pm at the Baylor Conference Rooms,  Best Western Inn, next door to  Country Cupboard Inn, Rt. 15 North, Lewisburg.

Please note change in usual date from second Monday of the month to third Monday of month, just for January, 2018.

2018 will be a vital year for our country and for Congress.  2017 ended with conservative momentum on issues like tax cuts, and the start of the new year will see a variety of issues in play in Washington.  Added into all this is the fact that the elections in November will loom large, and the opposition will continue to no doubt manufacture their own narrative of events.

This will be a great chance to hear from Congressman Marino on topics such as the Tax Bill, the first year of President Trump, the world wide terrorist movement and other issues important to our District.

10th Congressional District – Tom Marino

  1. Thank you for organizing such an important event.

  2. Thank you so much, SVC, for hosting Congressman Marino. That had to be a very tricky Q&A to manage, but I appreciated the chance to hear the congressman respond to so many questions.

  3. Thank you for hosting a public opportunity to meet with our representative. It was my first time seeing him speak, and getting through to his staff is usually very difficult.

My sincere gratitude to the SVC organization for sponsoring the Q & A with Rep. Marino. It’s these kinds of events that afford every citizen access to their elected officials, which is the foundation of our democratic republic. Thank You!

  5. I just wanted to thank the SVC for hosting last evening’s meeting with Rep. Tom Marino. I’m registered as a Democrat and haven’t attended SVC meetings or events before. I appreciated the opportunity to have a relatively open meeting with Rep. Marino and the conversations I had with SVC members and board members afterwards. It isn’t easy hosting or facilitating an event like that, but I think, on the whole, SVC did a great job.

  6. Thank you for opening your meeting and giving the constituents of the 10th access to Rep. Tom Marino. His refusal to host a Town Hall as our elected representative has been quite troublesome, frustrating, and cowardly. I so appreciate your commitment to preserving democracy as it should be.

  7. Jennifer Rager-Kay

Thank you for graciously hosting this event.
