October 10 SVC Meeting

What: Susquehanna Valley Conservatives Monthly Meeting

When: Monday October 10, 2016

Where: Best Western Country Cupboard Inn, north of Lewisburg along Route 15

New rules (377 pages of them) issued by the federal Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD) went into effect in mid-July. These rules; known
as “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing” are so broad and intrusive that
they have the potential to change every community in the United States;
overriding local zoning ordinances, affecting local education, and generally
imposing a federal mandate on every American property owner.

If you are a believer in the constitutionally-defined law-making process,
you need to know that Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing is a set of
rules issued by a department of the Executive branch; not legislation
initiated, and passed, by either the U. S. House of Representatives or the
U. S. Senate.

At our October 10th public meeting, Susquehanna Valley Conservatives will be
showing a film entitled “No Choice: How HUD Controls Your Property Rights.”
This 52 minute film features John Anthony – who has studied the AFFH rules –
breaking down the 377 page ruling, presenting the gist of those rules, and
demonstrating how the rules will affect your community. This is not a
Republican or Democratic issue – it affects every community and every
property owner in America.

Please mark your calendar now and plan to attend on October 10. You will be
shocked ! Educating yourselves now can help avoid making decisions later on
that will lock you into a loss of local control.

It’s that important.

Stan Zellers, President
Susquehanna Valley Conservatives
