Summary of April Meeting – Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley was the speaker before an enthusiastic audience of 85 people and discussed “The State of the Commonwealth and Beyond”.

The Lieutenant Governor spent several minutes discussing his role and duties as established in the Pennsylvania Constitution and as otherwise delegated to him (including the Marcellus Shale Task Force).  The second part of his presentation, including a number of audience questions, centered on the re-election efforts of he and Governor Corbett, particularly around economic and fiscal development in the state.

Prior to Lt. Gov. Cawley, State Rep. Fred Keller and State Sen. Gene Yaw spoke briefly about events in Harrisburg and pending actions and legislation.

Additionally, Guy Graybill of Snyder County was the first recipient of the SVC Certificate of Valor for his role in writing an editorial for The Daily Item and supporting a conservative stand on principles.
