Susquehanna Valley Conservatives welcomes Louis Petolicchio as the speaker for their next meeting on Monday, July 8 at 7:00PM in the Baylor East Conference Room at the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn, Lewisburg.
He will speak to the subject “First Amendment Review”, a topic that is very relevant to what is currently taking place in our country, on college campuses, and especially in Washington, D.C. His talking points will include:
- Original intent of the First Amendment
- What does the First Amendment mean today?
- The First Amendment in relation to the State Constitution
The meeting is free and open to the public. Individuals with opposing points of view are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Louis Petolicchio serves as head of the Education Team for the Constitutional Organization of Liberty (COOL) and has been instructing courses based on the Constitution on behalf of COOL since its inception. Among the classes he has directed are The Birth of Freedom and A More Perfect Union as well as the multi-session series Institute on the Constitution, and has presented these courses all over Pennsylvania as well as at a public school in Delaware. In recognition of his work, Louis was nominated for the 2008 Bill of Rights Award given annually by the Bill of Rights Bicentennial Committee of Concordville, PA.
Louis has been involved in political activities since high school and has actively worked on the campaigns of various candidates for a wide variety of public offices, most recently that of State Senator Mike Folmer. With his wife, Laurel Lynn, he has organized banquets and receptions for nationally recognized conservative leaders including Justice Roy Moore, Ambassador Alan Keyes, and Congressman Ron Paul.
A 1985 graduate of Geneva College (Beaver Falls, PA) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics, Louis has earned his Associate In Claims (AIC) designation from the Insurance Institute of America (Malvern, PA). He has also received his Legal Principles Claim Specialist designation and Property Claim Law Associate designation from the American Educational Institute (Basking Ridge, NJ).
For more than 25 years Louis has worked in the financial services industry with a nationally-recognized company, and has been recognized for professional achievements both individually as well as with his work team.
Petolicchio currently serves as an auditor for Jackson Township (Lebanon County, PA) and has served as Judge of Elections in East Donegal Township as well as President of the Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club (Lancaster County, PA).
