January Meeting

Sam Rohrer, conservative Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in 2012, will be the speaker at the Susquehanna Valley Conservatives meeting on Monday, January 9. The meeting will be held at 7:00PM in the Baylor West Conference Room in the Best Western Country Cupboard Inn, Lewisburg. The public is invited to attend.

Mr. Rohrer served the Berks County area as Pennsylvania State Representative from 1992 to November 2010. His outspoken support for constitutional principles and his dedication to servant leadership have been the hallmark of his public service. He regularly led the opposition to the explosive growth of federal spending, regulations and unconstitutional mandates in Pennsylvania.

SVC’s Christmas and 2nd Anniversary Celebration

Forty friends of the Susquehanna Valley Conservatives celebrated our second anniversary Monday Dec 12 at the Best Western/Country Cupboard Inn in Lewisburg.

The event was both a retrospective of the year concluding as well as a look ahead at 2012 – bound to be a year of great significance in the history of the United States.

Meeting sponsors for 2011 were thanked. A new level of sponsorship: ‘Publicity & Promotion’ (support for radio advertising for meetings) was announced. Cost is $ 50.00 per monthly meeting.

Planning Committee member Amber Lind was thanked for her work on our website and email (SVConservatives@gmail.com) setup.

Former State Representative Russ Fairchild honored us with his attendance. In addition, representatives of the Williamsport Tea Party were also present. Discussion regarding linkage between the two groups, as well as ways to network with other Tea Party ‘locals’ in Pennsylvania produced pledges to work together
from both groups.

Two fundamental goals were announced for 2012:
1. Evict the current tenant from the White House; replacing him with a conservative
2. Elect a conservative replacement for U S Senator Bob Casey Jr

Our next meeting will be held Monday January 9, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Sam Rohrer, recently announced candidate for the U S Senate seat currently held by Bob Casey Jr will be the featured speaker.

Please join us. Your support is vital.

Democracy is not a spectator sport.
